Victory Day and Kurban Bayramı

Join us on August 27 at 3 pm to celebrate the Victory Day and Kurban Bayramı. Due to the fact that the actual days of Kurban Bayramı fall into the labor day weekend this year, and many friends including the board members will be out of town, we decided to celebrate Kurban Bayramı a week earlier, and combine it with the August 30th Victory Day.

The event will start on August 27, Sunday at 3 pm with the national anthems and the presentations related to the meaning of Victory Day, poems and marches will be read or sung upon where we will continue with our traditional Bayramlaşma.

Lamb meat, pilav, and salad will be served. We appreciate if you bring a side dish, dessert, or fruits.

If you want to pledge for the meat, please contact us at We would also like you consider donating to our “student support project” through which two medical students and one law student in Turkey, and one university student in Michigan will be sponsored. Every year TACAM aims at raising approximately $3000 to support students in need both in Turkey and USA, all possible with your generous donations.

Hope to see you there,
