TACAM High School Chapter

We are pleased to announce the TACAM High School Chapter under our Education and Outreach Activities. The program aims at giving an opportunity to the Turkish youth (grades 9-12) to develop their leadership skills through several charitable projects.

The mission of the program is to preserve the Turkish heritage and culture while giving back to our community. The program serves both to high school age students by allowing them to improve their leadership skills, and resume (which is crucial in university admissions), and also Turkish community in Michigan as these students complement the activities of TACAM and work on social responsibility projects. Some of the projects that they plan on pursuing are:

1) Free tutoring to elementary school students,
2) Food and clothing drives to help people in need,
3) Political activism through meetings with public officers.

These high schoolers will be under the supervision of the TACAM Education and Outreach Committee. The committee has recently been established and has already met with several students interested in the program. It is still not late to participate. If you are interested being in the Education and Outreach Committee or if your high school age child is interested in joining the TACAM High School Chapter, simply contact us at contact@tacam.org.
