We are deeply saddened with the loss of long time Michigan resident and TACAM member Nermin Yaşnar (92) on Friday December 17, 2021 in Boca Raton, FL.
She is survived by a daughter Canan, son-in-law Cüneyt, grandchildren Crystal and Brandon Hampton and Levent Özaktay

Funeral and burial services were held on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Pompano Beach, FL.

Nermin Yaşnar was born in Istanbul on February 19, 1929 in a Crimean-Turkish family. She moved to Michigan in late 1960s, and lived here until she move to Florida in early 2000s. She had an accounting education from Turkey and worked as a bookkeeper at a doctor’s office for 18 years. She served as a treasurer at the TACAM board from 1988 to 1989 and as a director from 1989 to 1990, and supported TACAM continuously. She was a loving, strong women. She worked hard and tried to enjoy every moment of life at the same time. Her positive energy inspired people around her too.

As a request of her family memorials can be given to Bridge to Turkiye Fund.
