With a heavy heart we regret to inform the Turkish community that a valuable member of the Turkish American community, Beyhan Ban hanım in Livonia Michigan passed away last night on April 23, 2023 at the age of 78.

She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Beyhan hanım was the loving wife of late Ramazan Ban, loving mother of James Ban and Selma Ban, proud grandmother of Tanner, Cameron, Eileen, Deniz, Selin and Naz, proud great grandmother of Kai, Eni, Braxyn, and dear sister of Sabiha Citli, Ayten Tag, Turkan Karael, and Nurten İsleyen.

Beyhan moved to America in 1962 upon marrying Ramazan Ban. They were married for 55 years. She worked many jobs off and on. Her last job was at Western Electric Phone company. She raised her family and her grandchildren. She was a beloved mom and grandma. She was very a generous person and food lover, loved cooking for everyone and entertaining. She loved and missed her homeland city İstanbul. She came to America as a young woman with nothing and made a good life for her entire family.

Visitation is on Tuesday April 25th from 1 PM until the 2 PM. The funeral service will be held at Vermuelen-Sajewski Funeral Home, 46401 Ann Arbor Rd West, Plymouth, and the interment at United Memorial Gardens in Plymouth.
