As Turkish Michiganders, we have followed the news very closely, and worried deeply for our beloved country, since the last Friday, July 15th when we heard there was a coup attempt in Turkey. We strongly condemn this attempt of coup. We were happy that it was not successful, however the death toll over 240 people put us into deep sorrow! We would like to send our condolences to the ones who lost their loved ones, and wish a fast recovery for the injured ones. Events continue in the aftermath of this attempt, and creates serious concerns among us! We hope the politicians behave more responsibly, follow rule of law, and protect the secular and democratic parliamentary system.
