HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY!

Dear community members,

On International Women’s Day, TACAM proudly celebrates the strength, resilience, and dedication of women everywhere. Women nurture families, strengthen communities, and shape the future with their courage, compassion, and tireless sacrifices.

As a community connected to the values of the Republic of Türkiye, we also honor the visionary leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in advancing women’s rights. On December 5, 1934, Türkiye granted women the right to vote and to be elected to parliament, becoming one of the pioneering countries in the world to recognize full political rights for women.

At a time when many countries had not yet taken this step, Türkiye stood ahead of several European nations. Women gained voting rights in France in 1944, Italy in 1945, and Switzerland in 1971, years after Türkiye had already established this right.

As Atatürk famously said:
“Everything we see in the world is the creative work of women.”

Today we celebrate the achievements, leadership, and contributions of women everywhere and reaffirm our commitment to equality, opportunity, and respect for all.

Happy International Women’s Day.
