Join Us for the Turkish Poetry Festival – May 8 & 9
We warmly invite you to attend the Turkish Poetry Festival on May 8 and 9, where we will celebrate the lives and works of distinguished Turkish poets.
At this inaugural festival, we will focus especially on the poets whose sculptures are displayed at TACAM Atatürk Park, honoring their literary legacy and cultural contributions.
You are invited to take part in this meaningful event by reading a poem by one of these poets. If you would like to volunteer as a reader, please email nesenbilgin@gmail.com. We will be happy to provide a selected poem in either Turkish or English upon request.
Children’s Poetry Session
We are also excited to feature a special poetry session for children ages 6 to 16.
Children are encouraged to:
– Write and read their own original poems, or
– Recite a poem by a Turkish poet
During the session, children may also express their creativity through drawing inspired by the poems.
This is a wonderful opportunity for young participants to share their imagination, build confidence, and experience the joy and magic of poetry.
Please let us know your intention to participate no later than May 1, 2026.
