DESCRIPTION:Dear Friends\, \nJoin Us for the Turkish Poetry Festival – May 8 & 9 \nWe warmly invite you to attend the Turkish Poetry Festival on May 8 and 9\, where we will celebrate the lives and works of distinguished Turkish poets. \nAt this inaugural festival\, we will focus especially on the poets whose sculptures are displayed at TACAM Atatürk Park\, honoring their literary legacy and cultural contributions. \nYou are invited to take part in this meaningful event by reading a poem by one of these poets. If you would like to volunteer as a reader\, please email nesenbilgin@gmail.com. We will be happy to provide a selected poem in either Turkish or English upon request. \nChildren’s Poetry Session\nWe are also excited to feature a special poetry session for children ages 6 to 16.\nChildren are encouraged to: \n– Write and read their own original poems\, or\n– Recite a poem by a Turkish poet \nDuring the session\, children may also express their creativity through drawing inspired by the poems.\nThis is a wonderful opportunity for young participants to share their imagination\, build confidence\, and experience the joy and magic of poetry. \nPlease let us know your intention to participate no later than May 1\, 2026. \nWe look forward to celebrating poetry together! \n*This activity is supported by the Michigan Arts and Culture Council. \nBests\,\nTACAM BoD
