In most apartment communities in the area, you are required to pay the following utilities in addition to your rent.
DTE Energy (electricity)
Set up service via internet:
- Visit www.dteenergy.com/residentialCustomers
- Select Register (located below the login box). This will take you to a new screen.
- Under Residential Customer Type, select New. Then, select Start Registration Process at the bottom of the page.
- Enter your personal information and address.
- You will select a date to receive services. This should be the start of your lease.
Set up service via phone:
- Call 1-800-477-4747
- Press 1 (“Residential Customers”)
- Press 4 (“Start, stop, or move service”)
- Press 1 (“Start service”)
- You will be transferred to a customer service representative. He/she will help you set up service.
