Utilities

In most apartment communities in the area, you are required to pay the following utilities in addition to your rent.

DTE Energy (electricity)

Set up service via internet:

1.  Visit  www.dteenergy.com/residentialCustomers
2. Select Register (located below the login box). This will take you to a new screen.
3. Under Residential Customer Type, select New.  Then, select Start Registration Process at the bottom of the page.
4. Enter your personal information and address.
5. You will select a date to receive services. This should be the start of your lease.

Set up service via phone:

1. Call 1-800-477-4747
2. Press 1 (“Residential Customers”)
3. Press 4 (“Start, stop, or move service”)
4. Press 1 (“Start service”)
5. You will be transferred to a customer service representative.  He/she will help you set up service.
