Şeker Bayramı Celebration

Şeker Bayramı or “Festival of Treats” is celebrated by Muslims at the end of Ramazan, the fasting month for Muslims. TACAM cordially invites you to our Ramazan (Şeker Bayramı) Celebration, where family, friends and children can wish each other a joyous Bayram (“Bayramınız mübârek olsun”)!

There will be activities and sweets for the children, as well as desserts and baked goods for all. Please feel free to bring a dessert to share with the community on this day.

The event is free of charge, and we hope to see you at the TACAM grounds.

3pm – 5pm — Socializing, enjoying music, children’s games
5pm – 5:15pm — Welcome speech by Adnan Ateş
5:15pm – 5:30pm — How Ramazan is celebrated in Turkey (by Melodi Sarıoğlu and Ceren Ege)
5:30pm – 5:50pm — Presentation on Hacivat and Karagöz (by Aslı Yashın)
5:50pm – 7:30pm — The TACAM Vision 2010+ and Grassroots related updates (by Feridun Bek, Ümit Menemenci and Gökhan Özalp), followed by a Q&A session
7:30pm – 8:30pm — Educational Movie about Atatürk
