About TACAM’s Outreach Initiative

The TACAM Grassroots Committee was established this fall after TACAM successfully applied for a grant through the ATAA and TCA. The purpose of the grant is to find ways to engage and activate Turkish-Americans and friends of Turkey in helping to build connections with our fellow citizens and help educate the public and elected officials on the importance of Turkish-Americans.

Michigan is only one of three pilot cities that are helping to shape this new project. While the grant provides funds for a coordinator and budget, the most valuable asset our committee can have is volunteers.
