Turkey the bird, Turkey the country; are these two “Turkey’s” related? The answer is yes!
However, the relationship is complex, global, historical, and in a way irrational. The scientific name of the bird turkey is meleagris gallipovo. Over centuries, it has travelled around the world, migrating from one continent to another, but still, is best known in its country of origin. The bird turkey is so respected in its country of origin, that it has become a symbol of a most celebrated historic event: Thanksgiving. Come, listen and see the factual history of the bird turkey, or better, meleagris gallipovo.
This event is open especially to all your children with families and all adults and it is free. Come and join us in this entertaining event with your children. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.
We all hope to see you and your children soon.
