Your Child's Development: the Power of Play, Limit Setting and Discipline

Saturday, January 22, 2011 — 1pm
TACAM Cultural Center, 28837 Beck Rd, Wixom, Michigan

TACAM and the Bulgarian Cultural Center Detroit cordially invite all families with children (or parents to be) for a special workshop and inter-cultural networking event.

This lecture will provide you with an overview of children’s development and how to play with your child to support their physical, intellectual and language development. We will also discuss limit setting and discipline: how to choose appropriate techniques based on your child’s age and development. This will be an interactive discussion with a great question-and-answer section.

Our speaker is Ms. Kris Kasperski, M.Ed. (Fussy Baby Lead Infant and Family Specialist and Children’s Learning Center Early Childhood Specialist) from Oakland Family Services.

After the event the families will be introduced to each other to share best-practices. The children will have much time to play together, and refreshments and pizza will be offered at no cost.

We are making this program in partnership with Oakland Family Services and thanking the Farmington Hills Mom’s Club for their cooperation and support!
