This time we have picked a documentary by Tarık Akan entitled “Bir Meçhul Öğretmen” for two reasons; first to celebrate the Nov 24th Teachers’ Day and secondly to recapture the impacts of Village Institutes (Köy Enstitüleri). In the film, the stories of the teachers of the Village Institute are told in the person of the Bayındır teachers.
The screening will be on Friday Nov 30th at TACAM at 7:30 pm.
Please note this show is in TURKISH ONLY. Unfortunately the DVD we have does not have the English subtitles!
It is free for the members and $5.00 for non-members.
